Rural Lands Planning September Meetings

Rural Lands Planning Project Public Meetings

Please Join Us in September for our Second Series of Rural Lands Meetings

· What is the common vision for our rural lands? Find out what we learned from public comments collected in June and July.

· Is this vision supported by our current policies and regulations? What are the opportunities, and process, for change?

Please join us as we continue this important conversation with citizens and rural residents.

If you participated in the June and July meetings, we hope you’ll be back to talk with us again. If you were unable to attend before, please come and give us your opinion on the future development of rural lands in Snohomish County.

The first meeting is over at the Maltby Community Club. Sources tell me that the hall was about 2/3 full. While the focus was to be on rural planning, there is a great deal of frustration with the urban/rural buffers. The county speakers and the residents both expressed concern with Maltby's unique situation with full county rural with urban so close together.
