    130 More Trucks

When I put into the MaltbyNow news post that Waste Management was going to home 130 trucks at the Calvert site, all I could think of was how long the folks coming down Broadway will have to wait to get to 522! That is going to be a pain.

    Re: 130 More Trucks

130 trucks not 130 trips ? 130 trucks @ 4 trips per day is 520 trips on the lite side

8 hrs times 60 min is 480 min.@ 520 trips that is 1.08 trucks per min

so at any given time you will see a wm truck.

now this does not include any support?

parts ,supplys ,fuel, oil, sales ,cars ,and pick ups coming to and from work .and so on.

i would say your looking at more than 1000 trips per day.

oh and if they accept outside materals  keep adding and adding.

with the stupid stop sign design by the freeway this will be a joke

with a stop light @ 522 even worse just time the light in the morning and do the math and you will see the line up.

    Re: 130 More Trucks

I wouldn't expect all the trips to go to 522. Some will amber down Broadway to Highway 9. Some will use Maltby Road/524 to get to the 9 the other way. So, what do you think the number is for 522, maybe 60%?

Why 4 trips and not two? Only "greenwaste" should be showing up here to drop off stuff during the day. That will represent maybe 33% of the 130 trucks?

Still, way more traffic than I am sure anybody up Broadway knows about.

BTW-The admins of the site didn't pass out flyers about this site up Broadway so if anybody can pass word to them, they probably need to know.

130 trucks. hello thats parked if they dont bring back a load they dont make any money.

so the more loads coming and going the more money. i would say 4 to 6 trips per truck per day.

lets agree on a number before we agree on where there going.

    Re: 130 More Trucks

I am suggesting that only 33% will make the multiple trips (greewaste trucks). The garbage trucks and recycle trucks will go elsewhere during the day.

I do think that all 130 will want to leave in the morning.
