Sent to me be a Maltby Citizen
_____________________________________________________
Sorry it has been so long but Bill and I met with Dave Somers yesterday about the major issues in Maltby right now. Dave is planning a community meeting for the second week of March. We need a large turnout of support to send a message to the county that we are serious about wanting the county to treat the Maltby area right. The agenda of the meeting is below but I have a request for attendees. We would like to have a series of meetings with a set agenda to address Maltby issues and status updates. My request is that we stay on the agenda for each meeting and not drift to other issues so that we can thoroughly address the agenda topics. Your help here is greatly appreciated.
What Bill and I asked from Dave for this meeting is to tell us what he and the county can do to help correct or address the issues below and what we, as a community, can do to correct or address the issues.
Here is the agenda for the first meeting;
Enforce or Change Codes For Industry Locations In Maltby and Residential Street Use By Industry Traffic
(this is about forcing industry, old and new, in the area to make their locations visually, odor and noise pleasing as well as assuring that industry will not use residential streets as a through street - ever!)
Maltby Traffic Flow
(this is about the ability to move traffic to and from SR522 especially when Waste Management begins operations and how to change the flow to fit the plans for the future SR522 overpass now)
Assure That Waste Management Is In Step With County And Residential Desired Traffic and Location Codes
(WM is the newest and probably the largest of the industry in Maltby. We need them to be on board with us.)
What Will The County Do To Stay Close To the CEMEX (formerly Rinker) Site And Assure That a Park Goes Into That Site
(We all know what we went through in the motocross issue and the unbearable consequences to our neighborhood from noise, dust, dirt and exhaust grime. We and the county must remain vigilant about this location.)
We look forward to your support at the meeting. Please forward this email to your neighbors and friends in the Maltby area. Also please try to be open to a meeting one evening in the second week of March. I will contact you by email when the meeting date, time and location is set.
