Could this State Supreme Court Ruling affect Maltby?

Recent ruling in Whatcom County: http://www.futurewise.org/whatcomchallenge

Here's the part that seems relevant:

Under the state’s Growth Management Act (GMA), local jurisdictions are instructed to focus urban-type growth away from rural areas, but the Act allows a limited exception for intense development in rural areas which already existed as of July 1, 1990...

I don't think this would apply to us, but we need to keep pressure on our County Council to not let the existing Urban Growth Area "UGA" expand beyond it's current boundaries.  The Maltby Neighborhood Alliance was established to do just that.  If you would like to be actively involved in this effort, please attend future meeting of the Maltby Council.  The next meeting date is not set but will probably be sometime in Feb.  It will be announced on this forum.

apparentlyyour property doesn't have comercial property in your back yard i am surounded by ip commercial property so when we say let the county not let this happen maybe we should try to get the county fix the problems first to see if they have the capabilities to make more missakes and then make impossible to get it corrected.
