Hooper Tow Yard - SnoCounty determination released

I had myself added as a "party of record", and today received a large document in the mail.  This is file number 09-100760-LU.

Snohomish County has determined that the application for 20709 86 Ave SE "does not have a probable, significant adverse impact on the environment."

I don't know if this was the final impediment to allowing the tow yard to go ahead, or if it is simply one step in the process.  Thought I would post so people in the area were aware...

It appears they will be allowed to move forward with the tow yard unless there is an appeal filed.  It also appears that the information the provided was not accurate related to wet lands and affected wild life.

Besides the birds they listed there are:

Bobcats, coyotes, pheasant, quail, woodpeckers (being tracked and monitored by the UW), Wood ducks, mallards.

We need to continue to fight this otherwise our community will continure to erode!

Is anyone else interested in continuting the fight.

Feel free to call or email mail me.

Received another note from the County.  There are two things of interest.

First, written comments on the SEPA review may be submitted to the Project Manager (Roxanne Pilkenton) on or before May 6.   roxanne.pilenton@co.snohomish.wa.us

Second, there will be a public hearing on the Conditional Use permit on June 3 at 1:00pm.  3000 Rockefeller Ave, 1st Floor Hearing Room, Everett

Thanks for your input Doug.  We ARE fighting and hope you will join the effort by sending an email to the County and attending the hearing on June 3.  Please see my last post on the current status of the project.  Bill
