I am proud to announce that the group has accomplished two of its goals: 1. The landscape code has been changed to eliminate the road as the landscape buffer and 2. "No trucks allowed" signs have been posted at the 197th ST entrance, the 201st ST entrance, and on 206th ST west of 86th Ave.  There is still much to do and it appears that the next pressing problem is the Hooper Tow Yard.  The County has issued a Determination of Nonsignificance on the conditional use permit application SEPA checklist.  Those that are parties of record should have gotten a package from the County by now.  This is just the first step on the way to a Hearing on June 3, 2010.  At the meeting we will discuss our next actions and decide how to proceed.  Hooper currently has a tow yard on 180th ST across from the fire station in Clearview.  That whole area is an absolute disaster, with five tow yards/car sales/junk yards and we surely don't want that kind of junk in our neighborhood, especially on rural residential  property. Take a look at that area this weekend if you have a chance.  We will also review the status of other ongoing projects.  The Maltby Council represents the Maltby Neighborhood Alliance and everyone in the greater Maltby area is invited to this meeting so please pass the word to those who might be interested.    Thanks, Bill Jaques

We are happy to see some progress. Thanks for your hard work and persistence. Please identify the direction we need to go for Hooper Tow Yard. We are ready and willing to get letters/e-mails out according to plan. Please advise on the site or through e-mail message. Thanks- Kathy Wilson

Is there a status report on Ralph's Concrete Pumping?

Is there interest in hiring a land use attorney to help with the Hooper Tow yard?

the county has put the sighns up to limit commercial traffic but once again the fail to put them where the residential propertys begin i have been here 17 years and been involved inthe miss zoning and the complete ingnorance of the oversights of the county and its council men i think we need a change and get somebody in there that will follow there own rules and guidelines when it comes to boundry lines

I'm sorry butt when that gentalman of harper towing purchaced that named property the county made a missstake in the boundry line of the zoning not only is it unfair and against county rules for them to make a mistake but what about the property owners that are on the same strip of property from the pumping comany to 206st se the have been robbed by the county to even sell ther properties they have ip properties in thier back yards and the county refuses to fix thier misstakes by adjusting the lines since there is no buffer  and those owners have no relief at all

looking at the yards on 180th i did some reserch and what i find is that harper towing sits way in the back of all that junk and his yard is nicely fenced and land scaped you acually have to go behind all that junk to see it .And of course all that junk the county shoud be addressing but again where is all are taxes being spent on ? lunches??????? i've asked them to come out to my property to look at something and in five years i have had one person come look and she got lost boy they really are  good at there jobs by the way this person was the head of zoning and he couldn't find my property???????
